We can perform the notary services to transfer your Car, Boat or Trailer. When we perform the Notary work on a car or trailer title transfer, you can skip the lines at the OMV and register your car or trailer with us today – you’ll need proof of insurance on the car being transferred.
We prepare and provide:
- Bill of Sale
- Act of Donation
- License Plate and Registration
- Automobile Mandate (Power of Attorney)
- Application for Duplicate Title
- Cancellation, Turn In and Transfer of License Plates
If you already have your Closing Documents, Act of Cash Sale, Act of Donation or other immovable transfer paperwork from your bank, title company or title attorney, just bring it in and we’ll walk you through the steps to complete the paperwork, notarize where needed and return it.
If you are making a private sale or donation of Louisiana property, we can help you prepare the appropriate Louisiana Act of Cash Sale or Louisiana Act of Donation. We’ll need the legal property description (we can help you locate this) and some basic information about all of the parties involved. Once the notarization of the documents is complete, we’ll file those for you with the Clerk of Court.
Powers of Attorney/Mandates
Get a General Durable or Healthcare Power of Attorney while you wait. In connection with Field Law, we have “kitchen sink” General Durable and Healthcare Powers of Attorney available for you.
Our Powers of Attorney have opted into the the most common options available to be sure that your wishes and needs are taken care of.
These documents are custom written for Louisiana’s unique set of laws and are not just a free Louisiana Power of Attorney form download from an unknown website.
Last Wills and Testaments
We will notarize Louisiana Last Wills and Testaments that meet the proper form as required by La. C.C. Art. 1576 et seq.
We do request that you schedule an appointment for Will signings. This usually takes 15-30 minutes.
If you need a Louisiana Last Will and Testament – we suggest that you reach out to a law firm specializing in Estate Planning such as our sister company, Field Law, for a free consult about your Estate Plan.
We do not suggest downloading a Louisiana Last Will and Testament form from an online source. Louisiana law requires that specific formalities must be observed or your testament will be absolutely null. An absolutely null testament cannot be used in any way to understand your wishes and must be discarded by the Court.
Successions and Probate
We can notarize the documents provided to you by your attorney for a Succession/Probate. Simply bring those in, and we’ll walk you through the documents to notarize them in the appropriate places.
If you need to open a Succession or do a Small Succession Affidavit, we will refer you to schedule a free consult with an attorney at Field Law – our sister company that specializes in Louisiana Succession and Probate Law.
We happily notarize many documents needed for your small business, including:
- Operating Agreements
- Articles of Incorporation
- Lien Releases
- Contractor Forms
We’re also able to offer many Small Business legal services through our law firm, Field Law. We can help you with the start up documents required to open and LLC, Corporation or other business with the Louisiana Secretary of State. We’re also able to review your current business to update or create an Operating Agreement and to bring everything current with your Managers, Members, Agents, Officers and Directors.
A Notary is unable to give legal advice on your matter or with regards to your documents.
Our sister firm, Field Law, specializes in Louisiana Estate Planning and Successions and Small Business Planning. We are happy to help you in those areas when we are able to.
For other practice areas, we refer you to contact an attorney through:
- Louisiana State Bar Association Lawyer Referral and Information
- LouisianaLawHelp.org Legal Aid Directory
We do not offer Mobile Notary services at this time. However, if you are a business or organization that needs a notary to come on-site to notarize documents regularly or one time for a group of people, please contact us to arrange this.
