An event based on the popular TV show “The Walking Dead” took place here in Baton Rouge late last month, and something truly scary happened.
But it didn’t involve zombies.
A local special effects company produced about 250 silicone masks for the event and is now out more than $200,000, because the event producers decided to rent the masks instead of buying them as previously agreed.
The local business didn’t get the deal in writing in the form of a contract.
